Banana Oatmeal Donuts
There are way too many good things to eat around Austin. I think most people go on runs just for the sole purpose of maintaining their weight so that they don't keel over from eating so much. Actually the food in this town is one of the main reasons we moved here. Did I pick a city based on the reason that I can still get a really good bowl or ramen or a hot and fresh donut whenever I want? Um, yes... I have to say yea I did. When you're used to the caliber of food that you can get in NYC, it's hard to move to a place where there's nothing to eat. And for those of you who follow me on instagram, you can see we literally travel for food. So when we delved into the wild world of Austin food life, it further motivated our move to this awesome city. That being said, we've been eating our way through the town- from the 6 lbs of meat my husband ordered at Salt Lick, to Pastrami and Wagyu brisket from Mum foods (omg, that one deserves a post of its own) I needed a bit of a detox. So when I found these Texas grown oats at our local HEB, I knew I needed to make something with them. Hence, Banana Oatmeal Donuts were born. All the flavor of a banana cake but with the healthy kick of oatmeal!
